In her talk on gender equity in the workplace, FlexJobs’ Founder and CEO Sara Sutton asks, “We love seeing how remote work is supporting women in leadership roles. So how can we grow it, how can we scale it, and how can we make more impact?”

Sara Sutton fell on stage as the keynote speaker @ RunningRemote2018, World’s Largest Remote Work Conference, Bali.

Sara is the CEO/Founder of FlexJobs, an award-winning, innovative career website for telecommuting, flexible, freelance and part-time job listings. In 2015 she launched Remote.co as a resource for organizations and workers to learn and share remote work best practices. She was named as a Young Global Leader (class of 2014) by the World Economic Forum for her work in technology and the employment fields. 2016 she launched an annual conference event called the TraD Works Forum (*Telecommuting, Remote, and Distributed) event in Washington, D.C.

Sara is a graduate of UC Berkeley and currently lives in Boulder, Colo. Through YGL, she loves the opportunity to travel, meet incredible experts from many disciplines, and broaden her thought leadership on topics such as the future of work, gender equity, hybridization of the workforce, and entrepreneurship.

Sara Sutton has long been passionate about helping people find jobs. Currently, she is the Founder & CEO of FlexJobs and Remote.co, two leading services for remote and flexible job opportunities, and she started her career in 1995 when she dropped out of university to co-found JobDirect, the first online entry-level job site (sold to Korn|Ferry International in 2000).

Sara believes that integrating remote work can positively impact people’s lives and transform organizations to be more modern, productive, efficient, healthy, environmentally-friendly, and overall resilient given the various needs and demands going on in the world around us. In order to advance these conversations, she has also launched 1 Million for Work Flexibility and The TRaD* Works Forum. Sara is considered an expert on a wide variety of future of work topics and has contributed to thousands of media pieces, including the BBC, TechCrunch, Time, the Wall Street Journal, The NY Times, Fast Company, CNN, NBC, Forbes, Inc., and many others.

She is also a member of the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leader community and a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley. She lives in Boulder, Colorado with her two children.
