Ana Mendes Godinho was born in Lisbon in 1972. She has a Law degree from the University of Lisbon School of Law. She was Secretary of State for Tourism in Prime Minister António Costa’s first Government, from 2015 to 2019. She was Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security of Prime Minister António Costa’s 2nd Government. She was Director of the Services to Support the Inspection Activity of the Labour Condition Authorities and Coordinator of the Postgraduate course in Tourism Law at the Lisbon School of Law. She was Vice-President of Turismo de Portugal, I.P. Tourism Board, and Vice-President of the General Board of the Special Real Estate Fund to Support Companies. She was Portugal’s representative in the ISO / Tourism Technical Committee. She was Administrator of Turismo Capital, SCR, SA., Administrator of Turismo Fundos, SGFII, SA., and member of the Inatel Foundation Advisory Board. Chief of Cabinet of the Secretary of State for Tourism in the 17th Government. Labour Inspector. Legal consultant for the Tourism Directorate-General.

Ashley Kramer is the Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer of GitLab Inc., the DevOps Platform. GitLab’s single application helps organizations deliver software faster and more efficiently while strengthening their security and compliance.

As CMO and CSO, Ashley leverages her leadership from roles in marketing, product and technology to message and position GitLab as the leading DevOps platform through the next stage of growth. She is responsible for GitLab’s product marketing, brand awareness, communications, analyst relations, community, competitive positioning, marketing ops and revenue pipeline generation including all digital and sales development efforts. Ashley also leads the strategy for product-led growth and code contribution to the GitLab platform.

Prior to joining GitLab, Ashley was CPO and CMO of Sisense and has held several post-IPO leadership roles including SVP of Product at Alteryx (NYSE: AYX) where she led the messaging, positioning and roadmap for the Alteryx Analytics Platform and Head of Cloud at Tableau where she led the effort to transform Tableau (now a Salesforce company) to a cloud-first company and ran Tableau Online, their fastest growing product. She also has held various marketing, product and engineering leadership roles at Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN), Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) and NASA.

As a former engineer, Ashley understands and can capitalize on the value of GitLab’s unique ability to solve a deep developer pain point – streamlining the development process and bringing innovative ideas to customers in a quicker and more efficient way. She approaches everything with a customer-first mindset and has a passion for solving the challenge of positioning and messaging software platforms to technical audiences.

Ashley has an MSBA with a Concentration in Computer Information Science from Colorado State University and a BS in Computer Science from Old Dominion University where she also played Division I soccer. She currently is on the Board of Seeq Corporation and advises several startups.

Jen Rhymer is a Research Partner at The Work Innovation Lab by Asana where she engages with questions related to distributed organizations and the future of work. The Work Innovation Lab provides business leaders with actionable insights by connecting the challenges businesses are facing today with current and rigorous research.

In this role she is currently exploring the policies of hybrid companies. Jen is also a professor in the strategy and entrepreneurship group at the University College London (UCL) School of Management where she teaches in both the Entrepreneurship and Business and Sustainability masters programs. Her research is grounded in organizational design with a particular focus on the impact of emerging technologies and geography.

Some of her current projects include how to build and maintain connections among distributed employees as well as why the adoption of remote work is limited. Recently she published the paper, “Location Independent Organizations: Designing Collaboration across Space and Time”, which examines two patterns of asynchronous work and the corresponding enabling practices.

As an advocate for sustainable organizations, she has been invited to engage directly with various organizations, sharing her research and discussing specific challenges; she also is regularly an expert resource for future of work articles in outlets such as The New York Times, BBC News, and on NPR.
