David McKeegan is an experienced entrepreneur, finance professional, Enrolled Agent, and MBA. After years of living abroad, David and his wife Carrie McKeegan struggled to find an accounting service to meet their unique needs as expats. In 2009, they co-founded Greenback Expat Tax Services to provide a better, easier way for American expats around the globe to prepare their US tax returns.
While remote businesses are common now, it was considered daring to start a business without a Park Avenue address when Greenback was founded. More than ten years later, with a team of 40+ people living on 6 continents and customers in 217 countries & territories, David has a passion for sharing what he’s learned about building distributed teams, tax planning in a global marketplace, and adapting the best of corporate America to the needs of today’s businesses.
