Celeste Narganes is Marqeta’s VP of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion responsible for leading the company’s DE&I strategy and team. She is an experienced People Operations leader and focuses on creating a meaningful impact for those who need it most and ensuring equitable experiences for all Marqetans.
Prior to Marqeta, Celeste spent almost five years at HubSpot, where she most recently held the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion title.During her time at HubSpot, she helped build and diversify the company’s executive ranks and built and led several teams, including recruiting and DE&I throughout a major period of growth over the past five years. Celeste also has 15 years of experience working with and consulting leaders across various industries as a strategic management consultant at McKinsey and The Bridgespan Group, along with five years of experience as a front-line social worker working with children and their families. Celeste attended Holy Cross College in Massachusetts and later earned her Master’s degree from Columbia University in New York City.
