Suman Gopalan is the Chief HR Officer at Freshworks and is responsible for translating our motto of “happy employees means happy customers” into action.

Suman joined Freshworks in 2018, and is responsible for leading the overall talent strategy for Freshworks, and oversees all aspects of HR including Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Total Rewards, Employee Experience, and Workplace experience. Suman and her team are also responsible for preserving and scaling the unique culture of Freshworks, that enables team members to bring their best and be their best at work.

Suman holds an MBA in Human Resources from XLRI Jamshedpur, and has over 20 years of experience in various aspects of human resources, including Organization & Leadership Development, Change Management, Talent growth strategy and Executive coaching. She has spent a number of years working in Emerging Markets such as India, China, South East Asia and Africa. She has also served as a board member of the Emerging Markets HR leadership Council of the Conference Board. Prior to joining Freshworks, Suman has worked in a number of global and regional HR leadership roles at Whirlpool, Dell Technologies and The Nielsen Company.

Since joining Freshworks, Suman has played a key role in bolstering the company’s talent and leadership.
